Deacon John Rieger has been a member of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs for over 25 years and resides in Greenlawn, New York with his wife, Ellen, and their four daughters - Kathryn, Courtney, Patricia and Meghan.
John graduated from Cathedral College of the Immaculate Conception with a B.A. in Philosophy and received his Juris Doctor cum laude from New York Law School in 1986. He earned his Masters of Theology and was ordained a Deacon for the Diocese of Rockville Centre in May, 2008.
In addition to his law practice, John built and co-owned the Blue Honu Restaurant in Huntington; he currently co-owns and operates with his partners the Besito Restaurant Group which operates multiple Besito Restaurants located in New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts.
